How we think about work, what constitutes work and the skills we need to engage productively in work are changing radically in our data drenched information age.  Global inter-connectivity, smart machines, media new ecologies, the rise of ‘big data’ are just some of the drivers which mean that being a resilient learner is a critical attribute for success.

What matters is how well we are able to select, collect, and restructure overflowing information to generate new knowledge to add value in a particular context, rather than how well we can remember and repeat information.  We need to be able to see the ‘big picture’ as well as the ‘parts’, analyse problems, design improvement strategies, source data relevant to an investigation  and mine, analyse, visualise and communicate the outcomes: in short leading in evidence based decision making and transformation.
